Game 1757080
I have been facing this opening and variations of it quite regularly recently and was wondering what it was called?

Not sure. After white's 3rd move, it's a Scotch. May have transposed to a Ruy Lopez of some sort after white's 5th move.

Oh, that would be the Scopez opening. Unfortunately, there isn't much information about it.

It transposes to a Ruy Lopez, Old Steinitz Variation (C62).
