I apologize in advance if this post offends anyone.
My question is: What will happen first?
1. A female world chess champion (any race)
2. An Asian (race) world chess champion
3. A black world chess champion
4. An openly gay world chess champion
5. none of the above
Originally posted by Fat Lady I guess I'd have to plump for #2, since it has already happened.
Who was the Asian race person who was World Champion? I know Anand is from the Asian CONTINENT but I specifically said 'race'.
Maybe you prefer the term 'oriental', which we Asians do not particularly like. That is why Asian is listed as a race when filling out forms, and not oriental.
I will rephrase to avoid the thread becoming one of semantics.
What will happen first, a World Chess Champion who is:
1. a female
2. an Asian race (not necessarily someone from the continent of Asia)
3. black
4. openly gay
5. someone under 18
6. there will never be one of the above
7. a combination of 2 or more of the above ( i.e. an openly gay, 17-y.o. black female)

I'll put $5 on the long shot, an openly gay, teenage African-Asian female World Champ. 😕
