more than once I've blundered my queen and won, of course I suck, and my opponents are generally in he same boat as me

against a strong opponent and if it is a blunder not a sac, I resign

I wouldn't mind being in your boat if you suck either.

Thank you, slappy 115 (hope you won't skull our games, but I'll understand); KnightStalker47, Ramned & der schwarze Ritter...great examples of exemplary play on your part.

monteirof...good point. I must admit, when my Queen is captured unexpectedly, I feel despair. However, I have won a couple of games without her...but not many.

Never? You must be more vigilant than I. I mean, it doesn't happen often, but when it does...sigh. Of course, I've traded her many times...no worries there, anyway, good luck to you.

Interesting game

Here is quite a nice game involving the loss of a queen.

Game 4103253

here I dropped the queen, but won because it took away my opponents last counterplay.

I've seen several interesting games with various lesser pieces against a queen, and the results are varied.

For example:

Game 4040957 (In Progress)

Game 3694005 (A little easier to guess the winner, but still...)

Game 4084390

I am about to find out..... I will try and play on but it doesnt look good, such a stupid error!

Or... you could just decide what to do with your own game and allow people their right to play on if they wish, you do not simply resign a game everytime you lose your queen, it depends on your opponents skill, both of your positions, other material etc etc.
To use such a sweeping statement that you used is just plain wrong and rude.
