I know my game has gone to pot recently - various health issues.

However, where did I go wrong here? - id 16124715

I am not looking for help as I am resigning

The loss was due to the move 6...h6 completely missing White's threat.
A good rule of thumb is if an opponents piece is in your half of the board then
challenge it right away. 6...a6 and this game could well be still be going on.

Wild horses (in nature) are a wonderful thing, but in this game you allowed his knights way too much freedom.

As a Sicilian Kalashnikov player, you do not play h6 or go down the rabbit hole of 4 .. e5 unless you want those sharp variations. Fischer favored the Najdorf, characterized by the moves 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6.

Here Tal played a6 rather than h6 as you did.

Hello Martin - It's doubtful that I'm qualified to comment on this specific game, since you play at a few levels above me but as a practical matter, you might consider trimming that game load of yours by about half. 50+ games is a lot to take on. A smaller game load will allow you the time for deeper analysis of each position which should produce some higher quality play on your part. 🙂
