which chessbase porduct?

i'm about to buy either chessbase 9 starting package or chessbase mega database 2006. whats the difference in these products and which ones better?

I would buy Chessbase 9 and then download games weekly.

Chessbase is amazing and can do so much more.

A database is just a database.

You can also download chesslight for free from their site. They have a new version out. Haven't tried it though.
