Yah, I'm playing at FICS. 10 minute blitz games and I have a splitting headache and I know I'm tired. Not a good combiniation for playing chess, but I want to play to prove I don't suck so bad, with predictable results.

I'm making the thread to blow off steam so that I don't become that guy! It's so nice playing chess at home where only my family can here my explatives. 😉 Even then they can (and do) leave the room.

    Wrong dead guy.

The most exciting thing Botvinnik did was write a book about algorithms for chess computers.

What about the guy who moved the opponent's piece and said "no, you move here"!

but botvinnik did write a good book where he gave character analyses of ppl
he'd played - eg fischer, tal

I have to start up a thread like this every once in a while. Helps with the old sanity.
Study more, play slowly and more carefully, and you'll suck a little less.😏
