Why don't players resign when their game is 'lost'?

It may be something that you don't want to go through, but don't feel that it is wrong or disrespectful to play out a chess game when it is a losing game. I can see how playing in such a time could be useful. I hope that you can learn not to feel slighted or perturbed during such a game time. And since you are favored to win, consider it practice if nothing else.
