    Hi,
I see the lad has slipped back to the mid - 1500's.

Had a look at his last lost. He missed a good shot there.

Put it on auto-play and see if you can spot what I saw.
(good training this for your 'gut feeling'😉.

He plays a good solid game.
but did miss one good shot and then walked into a simple trick.

(I could end up with egg on my face here as this is screen
analysis and I'm surprised it was missed, but it looks fine,)

Spot the White shot (between moves 14 and 18).

Spotted, it seems to work in all lines.

When one has a Bishop aiming at f7 sacs on that square must be
looked at every move not matter what else is happening.

(are you going to tell him?).

I'll ask him if he went over it. If the answer is yes then I will ask him what he found. If he says he found his losing move I will ask him what about his winning move that he missed. If he says that he missed 16.Rxf7 I will tell him not to do it again or else he's fired.

He just needs his tacical ability shaprened up and perhaps go
through a pre-send ritual before sending.

Don't sack him - sentence him to 20 tactcial puzzles.

Tell him what is the point of playing good chess if you are going
to stumble on the first trick.

Tactical ability can be taught - it's not a gift.

There should be a Punishment Forum that is just full of tactical puzzles
and if a player misses a trick they have to go in there and must
solve 10-20 problems before they get out.

    Hmmmmmmm.......

On 2nd thought this would be a bad idea.
I'd have no one to talk too - you lot would all be trapped in
    the Punishment Forum. 😛

I think that whenever their mouse starts moving towards the wrong piece they should get zapped.
