Best game I've played...

well, it doesn't have any insane sacrifices, but the game was very interesting, see how many blunders my opponent/I have made that you can spot.

The rook sac at the end is pretty decent... although, its not a true sacrifice where as the very first pawn sac was (2...Nf6)

White moved 12.c3 when he should have moved 12.Bxh7+ and get blacks queen.
To avoid this, black shouldn't have move the Night to d4 in the 11th because it loses a queen.

After 12.Bxh7+ Kxh7 13.Qxd4 Black has 13. ... Nf3+ and after 14.Kd1 (14.Kf1 Re1 mate) Nxd4 Black is a safe piece up.

There is almost a spectacular checkmate for Black instead -
12.Bxh7+ Kxh7 13. Qxd4 Nd3+ 14.Kd1 Bg4+ and if 15.Qxg4 Nxf2 is mate, but unfortunately 15.f3 refutes it.

You're right, I realized that I had made a mistake.

I hate smilies too, I have them all blocked with firefox so I never have to look at them.

I posted on my blog a while back what the ex-champ "Tolya" Karpov said ‘In general one has to learn not to lose, and wins will then come of their own accord’. This is very true as unforced errors characterise many games including the one here.

like one of my games where I blew a wide open chance to take my opponent queen for a bishop... GAH! never play in the middle of the night after you've come home from the pub with some drinks in you!
