Easy to play... but why make chess so hard?!
I recently got a new glass chess set that happens to be the same size chess board as a table I have. I lifted the glass and moved all the black pieces onto the table... and came up with "You Sank My Battle Chess!"
(Works best with OTB unless you want to do some screen printing with a friend.)
Use 2 separate boards next to each other. Set the white pieces on one and the Black pices on the other.
Play normal chess.
White pieces always stay on one board, Black on the other.
I have not had the chance to game test it, but when I do it will be with Bugs Bunny... He's about 16 miles up the road next town over. He will probably say... Why!?? I will tell him.... Cuz?!.
Optional rules:
pieces switch board after a capture.
You may pick your board up and place it anyplace you like during your move... in sight of both players.

King always on other board
and / or
Each piece is moved board to board duing each move, when you move a White piece... it goes to the Black board. (et yada yada)
