Here is a fun riddle:

You have been kidnapped by aliens and stuck in a room. In this room there are two doors. One door, on opening, leads to immediate death. The other door leads to your escape. You do not know which door is which. There are also two talking idols in the room. When asked a question, one of the idols always tells you the truth, and the other idol always will lie to you. You do not know which idol is which either. You get to ask ONE question to ONE of the idols. What is the correct question to ask to figure out which door leads to your escape?

Not hard, I'd ask: "What is the main number in which I am thinking of(obviously you would think of a number here) AND ( here's the big and) which door is the correct door to go through if I wish to live?" If the Idol told you the correct number that you were thinking of then do through the door he indicated, if not then it is the other door.

How many different ways will someone rewrite this same riddle and post it here?

You can't use "the big and," sorry. That counts as two questions.

I haven't looked around that much, but I haven't seen this riddle posted before. It may have been. If so, you can tell me the answer.

If I asked the other person, would he tell me that this is the door that leads to death?

I saw it in a movie.

You were very close. The answer is: What door would the other idol tell me is the way to my escape? Then you would go out the door they didn't say.

Her reply also suffices but in that case you would take the door that they told you leads to death....

you ask either one of them which door the other one would say he should use. Use the opposite door of whatever they say.
