What do you mean by release? If it's whites move it's a one mover, so to avoid immediate mate it must be blacks move but don't see much that helps black's position, except pawn take rook, Queen. And it doesn't look like that helps either, no matter what the pawn is promoted to, queen, rook, bishop, knight. Still mate in two.

release the position. You have to retract moves to prove that the position is legal or illegal as the case may be.
