But you are correct - it's cooked.

    1.Nxg7 Kf7! draw.

    Back to the drawing board.
    1. Nxg7+ Kf7
    2. Nxe8 Kxe8

    White wins!!

    [edit]but 1. Nxg7+ Kf6
    2. Nxe8+ Kg5 draw

[edit2] Ignore all that I said, it doesn't make sense. Somehow 'forgot' that the Black Knight reappears on e8 too.

(unless one of you guys find one in four).

This position arose in a game of HAL CHESS.

In HAL CHESS there is glich in the program.

If you capture a piece on certain squares then that captured
piece re-appears once the capturing piece has moved.

    [fen]7k/4N3/8/7K/8/8/8/7N w - - 0 1[/fen]

Eg: Suppose one ...[text shortened]... in 5. (very easy).

(Next Problem - How do you edit the title? There is a glich in my brain.)
I like 1.Ng6, mate - glitch square is h8, and last moves were -1...Kh7xQh8 -2.Q~xRh8.

    "I like 1.Ng6, mate "

    Brillaint!!

    And correct.

I suppose if one wishes to continue with HAL problems
then the glich square has to be named to avoid such cooks.

Good fun that - must come up with another idea.
