You wan't I should try to solve this... or is that a bore? I'll take a stab at it.
It is fascinating. I don't know what your mathematical background was, but I really had to stretch. Actually formulating a rigourous proof required that I develop several preliminary results. I thik you should try, if you like. I'm sure there is a better method than mine.
