Exactly. But I thought that was a bit messier (the aesthetic thing we were talking about in our game, it matters not)-although my proof can be modified to accomodate that wording.

Are you looking for a hint? Think about nondecreasing sequences with limit infinity, and how to sum the reciprocals of some subsequence of it. Enjoy.

I have, but I think the others lost interest. I think Acolyte could solve it if someone made him, and maggoteer's chances would probably be good. Mention this one to thire, too.

It is fascinating. I don't know what your mathematical background was, but I really had to stretch. Actually formulating a rigourous proof required that I develop several preliminary results. I thik you should try, if you like. I'm sure there is a better method than mine.
