    The Czech language has several words without vowels, using "sonorants" (l and r) to function as such. Hence, we get čtvrthrst (quarter-handful) and things like that. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czech_language) I also recall from years ago that the Czech word for "cricket" has 6 or 7 consonants with no vowels.

    The only non-proper noun that is actually a word that has no vowels is "nth". As in "he took it to the nth degree" there is no other word in the english language that uses only consenants

    There are many non-vowel words accepted in scrabble, such as brr, brrr, hm, cwm, psst, cwrth among many others.
