Which notation are you referring to?

This is not an 'against any defence' solution but depends upon Black complying with your wishes. What happens if they don't?
In real game play would you offer up one of your knights and bet that the bishop was taken?

Key move is correct, and does defeat any defense. He didn't give all the variations, but he did cover the other key one, 1...fxg4.

I'll let the computer give us a full solution:

1.Ne3-g4 threat: 2.Ng4*f6 #
1...Ke4-d5 2.Bd6-e5 threat: 3.Qc3-d4 #
2...Kd5-c5 3.Qc3-a5 #
2...Kd5-e4 3.Ng4*f6 #
2...c6-c5 3.Qc3-f3 #
2...f6*e5 3.Qc3*e5 #

1...f5-f4 2.Ng4-f2 + Ke4-d5 3.Qc3-d2 #

2...Ke4-f5 3.Qc3-c2 #

1...f5*g4 2.Qc3*c4 + Ke4-e3 3.Qc4-d3 #
2...Ke4-f5 3.Qc4-d3 # or 3.Qc4-c2 #
2...Ke4-f3 3.Qc4-d3 #

1...e6-e5 2.Ng4*f6 + Ke4-f4 3.Bd6*e5 #
1...Nc8*d6 2.Qc3-e3 + Ke4-d5 3.Ng4*f6 #
