Whose move is it, who has the mate, and is the board the normal way round (white going upwards)?

This can't be that hard. I remember back in the day when there was a corps of solvers who would have ripped this one apart in a day or two max. What happened? Now all we got is "Pimp out an object" and similar other inane threads.

How the hell do you get a board like that on a forum post??? I'm supposed to get a FEN or some but I have no diea what that means... I'd like to create a puzzle thread too but without the board it's no use... 😕

There used to be some experts... I'm too scared to try and tackle this one though!

To make a FEN string, use uppercase letters for White pieces, lowercase for Black pieces, and a number for groups of blank squares. Use a "/" to go to the next rank.

Example: k7/2B5/4n3/6R1/1q6/4K3/2P3p1/8 represents this position:

To make a diagram here, surround it with FEN tags:
[ fen ]k7/2B5/4n3/6R1/1q6/4K3/2P3p1/8[ /fen ]
(remove the spaces next to brackets)
