    Two Grandmasters did a very stupid thing one time when they were
    losing in a tournament game.

    One loked at his opponent..grabbed his king and threw it across the
    room.

    The other actually stood up onto the chess table...kicking the pieces
    over and screamed "Why must I lose to this idiot??"

    let me try two answers:

    1) they were not playing each other - two parallel events. Plenty of
    idiots around in GM circles.

    2) The first one grabbed his opponent's king?

    They are two different events...the first was a world champion...the
    second was a man that the first would never give a shot at the title.

    Oh...no..he grabbed his own king and resigned that way...when he
    threw it across the room

    The first sound likes Alekhine but I do not recall the incident.
    The second was Nimzo upon losing a game and tourny to Saemisch.
