Hi all. I just took a look at program list in the control panel
(win 2000 at work) and it showed a program called
"ORG50" Anyone here ever hear of if? I googled it in and
found nothing seeming to do with a computer, environmental stuff
but nothing indicating a program. Don't want to kill it if its needed for
my dell comp at work but I don't recognize it either. Thanks for
any help. BTW the program is 4.29 Mbytes.

She's probably beavering away on your hard drive right now...
Well I solved the riddle. Its not that! The previous owner of this
comp used a program called ORIGIN 50, a math analysis suite
for graphing and predo analysis, etc. A junior version of
Mathmatica.

the one implied by google, left me with, as my romanian boss says,
"limited enthusiasm" to start the program for fear of trojans,
keyloggers, etc., all the crudware that creeps into your system.
I finally got up the nerve after using norton antivirus on that folder
and found out it was indeed a mathematical graphing and analysis
program used by the previous owner, a PhD in Chemistry, so I
feel a bit better now!
