Well now, lets see: Take the'meat' off the bat, the 'stuffing' from the mattress along with the 'dates' from the calendar and that's plenty to survive on. Who said anything about trying to get out ??

It's usually a calendar, mattress and piano:

Use the dates from the calendar to eat, the springs from the bed to drink and the keys from the piano to get out.

No idea how you get keys from a bat though...
