If you haven't noticed. Most people don't read these threads, they just post at random.

I don't get it. Why is the answer "language"? It doesn't end in -gry.

gry however has nothing to do with the question 🙂 A lot of words in the riddle but only one question:

There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word?

If your telling me (what is the third word?) is the only question asked and your telling me to ignore all the other words in the riddle. Why is the answer not (the)"?

I can belive the word (the) is used by everyone everyday.

There are only three words in the English language.
I think this should read either, There are only three words in(,) (T)he English (L)anguage. So "Language" would be OK fit. Or, What(,) is the third word? So,"What' is the third word? Or, "What is the third word?" Then " the" is the third word of this sentence and the only question ?, asked in this collection of sentences. The rest are just unlinked singular unrelated statements.
"The word...... every day", is again just a statement, otherwise it should read, "This word......day". not, "The word...."
"If you have"LISTENED" carefully..., this puzzle was set in written not oral form, and not everyone uses LANGUAGE every day.
"..what It is." Is again only a unrelated staement.

So, I think that what looks to be a fun Question or puzzle, is just yet another example of asking a confused Q. that has no possible A.
How long is a pice of string?...ect..

The correct answer is the third word in the English Language.

Someone look it up in a dictionary. What's the third word there?
