This one's more complicated than the ones I used to do as a kid though. Those usually only had two dimensions, while this has more (nationality, color, game, cigar, drink).
Originally posted by misterrigelYes the 5 colors are known, infact so are all the Drinks and the types of nationally's and all the types of all of the cigarettes they all smoke and 4 of the games (1 of them not including chess) but of course one of the 5 people in the house play Chess thats the answer to the riddle so everything is there for you to figure this out.
Well, it certainly looks impossible - you don't even tell us all the five colors? Is this missing a clue?
The colors btw are Blue,Yellow,Red,green and White
Originally posted by c00ushionIt's not given that one of them plays Chess, actually. That idea was how Einstein's riddle worked.

Originally posted by AThousandYoungThis is true but the idea is the find out which of the 5 nationally's play chess by finding out what colors the houses are what order the houses are placed in and which the owners of these 5 houses are smoking, drinking and which game they are playing one of the 5 people do play chess, so there is an answer to this riddle, Ive done it myself, its possible, only took me about 2 hours myself.
