L is the letter furthest to the right on the home row, going down the the bottom rown on the left you have Z, then on the far right you have M,
then up to the top row you have Q and on the far right you have P, and I suppose the last letter would be A, going back down to the far left of the home row, completing the cycle.

It all made sense the other month, it was an arithmetic progression involving a substitution cipher were a = 1, etc.
