Which number does not fit with the others and why ?

In the other five numbers the second pair of digits is 1 higher than the first pair of digits, eg 89+1=90, whereas the jump is 2 in 77798.

I'm assuming the last digit is a red herring, but this may be more complicated than it first appears!
