    FWIW, Grumpy has just finished downloading the necessary 7.61Gb and 1.34Gb tablebases and wants everyone to know it's mate in 16.

    That's 895MB and 168MB. Rather small, really.

    What's illegal about his moves. Unless the board is flipped. which would make the "legal" moves 1. Qf8+ Qg8 2. Bf6#
