I'm on 77 possible words, though my english isn't good enough to know if all of them are real english words. So it'll be a little while longer before I've got them all checked.

I've got 97 words total, however, I've been ignoring rule number 1. I haven't counted to see how many have "O" in them. By the way, I don't see anything in the rules requiring the words to be in English.

EDIT: I haven't checked them either, so there are probably some bogus ones in the mix.... :'( My list is starting to get unmanageable.

I now have 20 three letter words, 24 four letter words, 13 five letter words, 4 six letter words, 1 seven letter word and 1 nine letter word.

Totalling 63 words.

After implementing rule no. 1:

8 three letter words, 10 four letter words, 8 five letter words, 1 six letter word and 1 nine letter word.

Giving a grand total of 28 words.

Not sure if some of them count, but I think they do. I also might have crossed a few out that were good, but hey, someone has to set a target 😉

Which makes a total of eighty. I did do a little bit of looking up here as you might guess, haven't heard of half of them.

The non-plural bit wasn't that effective here, could only find one plural from those letters.

Polygon?

I'm pretty sure Troy is a noun...and that Yon isn't an existing word (according to wikipedia I believe). Nori and Inro don't sound right either.

My english is pretty good for all day purposes, even for detailed conversations. I keep finding it disturbing to see how much things I don't know yet :p It might well be that all your words are ok, meaning I suck 🙂

Here's my list;

They have to have the O in there too though, so words like vintner don't meet the stipulation.

I am familiar with two of the four words you mention. Troy being a system of weights (e.g. troy ounce) and nori being a type of seaweed (which I have have a little mixed in with salt down in my kitchen).

Also, a perfect example of why rule #5 is so difficult to enforce. English is picking up words so fast that you've got to agree on a particular dictionary and revision to use prior to a game of Scrabble. Ah well, change is good is suppose (as long as I don't have to eat nori).
