Being from texas and a fan of the astros(even when they are playing horribly) ive watched oswalt for many years more closely than say a phillies fan and he is a great pitcher. this year is a year of big changes in the houston franchise and oswalt has been unhappy all season which is the reason he asked to be traded. i think that's the reason why he hasn't looked his sharpest this year.
i can promise the phillies are only going to benefit because of him.

He is a bulldog and he doesn't back up.
Lance Berkman should also enjoy success in NY.
I only wish they could have found a chump to take Carlos Lee instead of either of those two.
Ed Wade was a lousy GM in Philly and he is lousy in Houston.
Houston screwed up huge when Drayton MacLane's ego became similar (although not a strong) as Jerry Jones' and he got rid of Gerry Hunsicker, who is, by far, the best GM the Astros ever had.
MacLane got the benefit of the team Hunsicker built which got him to the World Series, but has fallen on its ass in the wake of "boy wonder" Tim Papura and "the master of disaster" Ed Wade.
Meanwhile, Hunsicker took over for Chuck Lamar, brought in a "boy wonder" of his own, and quietly built up a powerhouse in Tampa.
The cream rises to the top, and it proves, once again, that turds don't float.
