@Ponderable saidNo, I am trying to expand the pool of players who join clans.
...and the point is that the clan offers tournaments?
Instead of trying to get current clan players to play in more clans - I was looking for players who want more games (so they enter tournaments), to maybe also look at joining a clan as a way to get more good games.
@Bish saidAh thank you.

In fact playing clan games and playing in tournaments is a bit different. I do get the point however.
Tournament players: Clan games are much more predictable, no surprising start of tournament rounds with many games...

My feeling is that the Clan System, similar to the Forums, are what make this the best chess website in the world. Well that and the brilliant UI.
There has never been a better time for online chess. The growth of the game has exploded in the United States school systems. Kids are playing chess everywhere. Adults are playing chess everywhere.
I think some online players are looking for an alternative to that other chess website and may be giving Red Hot Pawn a look. When they do, what do they see?
That is a question that can be considered by all of us. When you create that next forum post - is that post a good advertisement for what makes us worth a closer look? Is that post a good advertisement for parting with some hard earned money to join us here?
