This division is ready for pairing for second round. I will e-mail

Is the pairing based on our original rating as at the start of the
tourney, if so couldn't the draw be done by anyone in about 10
seconds?

Tony, Yes it is based on original rating. Remember, Most of us here at
Red Hot Pawn have jobs. Playing chess is what we do for enjoyment.
Orchestrating a Tournament is what we like to do. Please give Dave
time to do the pairing. I know he was at work today.

Ps: It is Dave's tournament. I'm sure he is not dragging his feet on
this. He reserved the pairing for himself because he knows the rules
better than myself.

So! everyone can see that Dave has used different rules to do the
draw for the top section and the 1400 section? Like T1000 i am not
concerned who i play but unless you can explain why the 2 sections
have been treated differently i am sure that everyone will draw their
own conclusions. BTW gbnils withdrew a long time ago, he posted to
that effect, i seem to remember it was due to work commitments.
Good luck to bbarr if the draw had been done properly i think this
pairing would have been the same anyway, although if ( and i am not
suggesting it will happen) tenebr8 beats T1000 does it mean bbarr
gets a bye in round 3 too as tenbr8 has already had one?

Absolutely did not...if you look at maggoteer's web page you will see
that he set it up exactly how I asked it it runs straight down from there.

As for the gbgnils thing...I didn't know he was leaving untill this
morning when I saw that post.

And as for the next round...the bye will actually drop down to the
winner of the misslead - Alley Crime match...cause in effect bbarr is
actually getting a bye this round due to gbgnils leaving.

I never said this would be perfect...I have never played in a tourney
that was.
