It is my understanding that it has been "proven" that dscp was either using an engine or indeed WAS an engine and that he is currently not being allowed to play. My question is this: I played in the same group as him (it) in the Damn Fine Tournament and lost both games to him (it); however, in my other 4 games I had 3 wins and a draw leaving me in undisputed 2nd in the group. So, will I advance into the second round or will dscp be allowed to advance?
Do you remember the GrandContinent tournys?
Sometime ago I messaged Russ asking to remove the winners of Oceania and Asia tournaments because the winners were not living or born in those continents,as they always had European flags on RHP.
Digitgus (Spain)won the Oceania section, and Tequila (Czech republic) won theAsia section.
I got no reply to my message and the fraud winners are still awarded of the tournaments victories,so I guess that you have to resign to the idea of going trough the second roundof the DamnFineTournament.
Originally posted by no1marauderNothing was 'proven' against dscp. Serious allegations were made against him, but he refused to confirm or deny them, apparently preferring to quietly leave the site. As far as I know, Russ took no action against him, and the fact that he hasn't moved since September 12th is his own decison. He could easily return and continue playing. So it would be wrong to kick him out of this or any other tournament.

Originally posted by David TebbI stand corrected. No problem, then.

Originally posted by David TebbThere seems little point in putting DSCP into the next round if all of his games are simply going to time out.

As the sponsor of this tournament I would recommend that if DSCP has not returned to the site and resumed play by the time that the next round is due to start that he ought to be disqualified and the next highest scoring person in the group should go through in his stead.
Does everybody agree that is fair?
Originally posted by ExyMy original post was based on allegations in a prior thread and I took the fact that dscp had stopped playing to indicate that there had been some action by the site admins verifying those charges. If this is not so and if there is no proof that dscp didn't beat me fair and square, then I would not wish to advance in the tournament. What dscp does in the 2nd round is, of course, his (its?) choice. I appreciate your point Exy but I do not wish to advance if I was fairly beaten.
