How do non-subscribers participate in tournamen...

Someone please help me. I just joined this a few days ago. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Once in a blue moon there will be a non subscriber tournament started, however the best way to participate in tournaments is to subscribe.

Alright, then, I have just subscribed this past week... one other reason I subscribed (besides to get more games) is to get into tournaments. Do I just wait until one starts up now? How often do they start, typically?
