I am considering subscribing to enter a tournament. Which would have the least number of consecutive games I would be expected to play?

Depends. If you go for a dual then only 2. Threesomes = 4. Grands can be a lot. Look at the group size in the description - group-1 (that's you!) x 2.

One if you get knocked out straight away.

Highest number of concurrent games I've seen has been 46 (groups of 24), but the most common ones are 2 or 6 games. To even up numbers expect there to be a chance of slightly higher group sizes in later rounds (can be up to double the group size minus one in a final).
