    Julia,
Thanks. You know I will be knocking on your screen when I start a
    tournament.

    Kirk,
When the tournament page is up and running at Red Hot pawn we
should have several tournament running at one time. Some 3 day
timeout and some 7 and maybe some one day.

3 day timeouts are a plan, but it may not help speed things up...
holiday & bouts of depression aside I've moved every day, sometimes
more, and now I about to play my 4th game of the 1st round.

If you assume that at least one pairing will draw the 1st two games
and an average 45 move game, thats 2 months per round even with a
1 day timeout. And that's without draws on draws...

Please don't get me wrong... I'm not knocking the idea of shortening
the timeouts except that if each round lasts 2 months, & there's 6
rounds in the tourney then it's the last person who goes on holiday
who wins. Maybe some kind of "pause" function would be needed. Or
you could only be timed out if you hadn't anounced the reason for
your absence & the date of your return.

Actually that pause function would be handy... to be able to pause all
games for 1 or 2 weeks. But not too often. Anybody agree?

Pause function..........Shoot.....A tournament could last 10 years. I'll
have to check with my physician on my life expectancy. :-)))
