World Cup ?

Apologies if this has already been asked but with all the different nationalities on this site could we not have a World Cup team tournament ?

for example:-
8 players per team
limited to 1 player in each rating bracket
1200-1300 1300-1400....... 1700-1800 and 1800+
you play against the opposition player in your bracket

knockout/duel format ?

thoughts ? alternatives ?

Thank you for contributing this idea. I think it would be better placed in "Site Ideas" however. And probably the clan league is the next nearest thing to what you suggested.

Tournaments here are strictly played by single players.
Clans battle out the team events.
