I have to annotate this game. I have to do it. I have no choice.
29. Ba4d7
The rook is conveniently on a white square now.
29... Kc8d8 30. Bd7g4 Kd8e7 31. Bg4xf3
A tempting move instead would have been Bc4+, but after Ke8., Bxf3, b6 would have not been too comfortable.
31... Ke7f8 32. Bf3xb7 f6 33. h4
Right after I played this, I pondered why I didn't use Rf1 instead.
33... h5
I think a better move here would have been fxg5.
34. g6
Because now I have two ways to win. Bc5+, and if Ne7 then Ra8++. If Ke8, then Bc6++. Moving this pawn up is better for white than taking either f6 or h5 en passant.
34... Rh8h6
If Ne7, then Rd8++.
35. Ba7c5 Ng8e7 36. Rd1d8
So in conclusion, this Rook Gambit, Advanced Variation is still a pretty powerful opening. =P
