Offering a free pawn followed by Bd6c5 to get a tempo.
26. Nc2e3 d2 27. Bc1b2 Ne4c3
? The self-pin doesn't look good but it's ok....
28. Rf1d1 Bd6c5 29. Ne3d5
Trying to dislodge the Knight on c3. plus a discovered attack on the Knight by white Queen, he has 3 pieces attacking my Knight defended by (and pinned in front of) my Queen....but it isn't a problem.
29... Nc3e2 30. Kg1f1 Ne2d4 31. Qf3d3
I'm not sure that is the best square for the Queen given the Rook on d8, but there aren't many other choices.
31... Nf6xd5
Trade to bring the Rook in.
32. cxd5 Rd8xd5 33. Qd3xd2
I'm not sure that was the best move. The pawn wasn't going anywhere and I think he lost a tempo. Was RxP better for the defence of f2 and f5? Maybe he wanted to keep his Rooks connected.
33... Qe5xf5
A subtle little move that looks like a pawn grab.
34. Rb1c1 Qf5h3
White resigns. Game over no matter which way he moves his King. The Knight or either Rook comes into play for the checkmate. In the early game I spent a lot of moves trapping the bishop, and White didn't capitalise on that with active piece development. White pushing the h pawn opened up access to the King and helped my cause. Thanks for reading.
