Paweł Czarnota is a Polish chess Grandmaster.
Born on February 10, 1988, in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, he entered the world of competitive chess early. By 2003, he had achieved a notable success by winning the European Youth Chess Championship for players U16.
Throughout his career, Czarnota has represented Poland in various chess competitions, most notably in the 2008 Chess Olympiad held in Dresden, Germany. He has also competed in the World Youth Chess Championships and European Individual Chess Championships.
In terms of team competitions, he has featured for Poland in the U16 Olympiad, winning team gold in 2004. He has also played in several high-ranking Polish chess leagues.
In addition to his competitive career, Czarnota is a well-respected coach. He coached the Polish women's team during the 2012 Chess Olympiad in Istanbul.
