Arturs Neikšāns is a Latvian chess Grandmaster. In youth, he excelled in regional and international chess competitions, becoming Latvian U-20 champion in the years 2000 and 2001. Neikšāns has represented Latvia multiple times in international team competition such as Chess Olympiad, the World Team Chess Championship, and the European Team Chess Championship. He achieved the title of Grandmaster in 2007.
Neikšāns has won several significant chess tournaments. In 2008, he gained a shared first place in the Kupiškis Open in Lithuania. He went on to win the Liepājas Rokāde in 2009, 2013, and 2017. Neikšāns also tied for first place in the 2014 Riga Technical University Open.
