Nguyễn Đức Hòa is a Vietnamese chess Grandmaster who was born on February 18, 1989 in Hanoi, Vietnam. Although his achievements in chess began at a relatively young age, he achieved his biggest one in foreign tournaments in 2010 when he was given the "International Master" title by the International Chess Federation. He won several games at the 2011 Asian Chess Championships and the 2011 Vietnam Chess Championships as well.
It wasn't until the Malaysian Chess Championships in April 2012 that he was awarded the Grandmaster title after scoring 6.5/9. He is a two-time Vietnam National Chess Champion in 2011-2012 and 2018. He has participated and won in several other tournaments, including the 2012 Philippine Open, the 2013 HD Bank, the 2014 Zonal 3.3 Championship, among others.
