What is Horwitz Bishops?
Chess Terms : Horwitz Bishops Explained
Horwitz Bishops refers to a strategy in chess where the player's two bishops are deployed on squares c4 and f4, or c5 and f5, for white and on c5 and f5, or c4 and f4, for black. This set up was a favored strategy of the chess master Bernhard Horwitz, hence the term Horwitz Bishops. These bishops, when coordinated effectively, can control and influence a significant portion of the board.
