The option to sort by timeout only has been added to the "My Games" list. This is in addition to the current option, which is a combination of timeout and timebank.

edit : Timebank only option mentioned previously now removed.

Any word on when the app will see this improvement?

The whole site will be getting a "responsive" makeover, which will make it more "app" like. This is prioritised over the Android App improvements right now - even though the proper tablet support is definitely next.
