@very-rusty saidSo do we, Rusty, so do we.
LOL...Wish that was in affect back in the day!!! π

@very-rusty saidNo.
You probably would have removed a lot of your posts eh? π

We would have wished for you to remove yours.
Obviously.
I'm not a big fan of the new model. It leaves nuisance posts behind and makes the thread harder to read.
We've had the one-hour edit for a long time to take care of poster's remorse. We've also got the auto-delete robomod which is very efficient and nobody sees even that there was a post once it's exercised (by editing your post to add a banned 4-letter word).
@kewpie saidOr of it is removed by a Moderator it is like it never existed.

I kind of like it myself. π

@caesar-salad saidIf we all had a halo over our heads it would get to be a pretty boring site.
Thank you, Russ. Unfortunately, a small number of chronically toxic posters (whom I suspect never have any poster's remorse or second thoughts) continue to pollute the forum with personal attacks, libel, and harassment – contrary to the forum guidelines, and seemingly with impunity.

@russ saidThe problem is that some posters don't suffer nearly enough from remorse. They might do if their more-than-usually inane comments remained as monuments for all to read, chiselled in virtual stone.
Edits are still time limited, but you can now remove a forum post (and any quotes) at any time.
Look for the "remove" button below your post if you are suffering from poster's remorse.
