The clan forum (more than any other forum) is not the place you should be divulging personal information. Of course you are going to get slammed about it.
Someone (for example) makes a joke about your cat, don't respond in indignation, "How dare you! My cat is dead!" - No one knew your cat was dead (until you proclaimed it).
