Assume it was a default setting. Clan had been created years and years ago.

I've no idea, the clan was created soon after I joined. Late 2008, early 2009 I'd guess. It was just me and never more than two players so wouldn't have picked 8.

Well that is 15 or 16 years ago, perhaps it was set for no more than 8? Was it not around that time people started making smaller Clans?
