@Mr t,

I been thinking about it and I think 2 days after the skull appears in a clan games is long enough. The only thing is the person could be sick or unable to access a computer which would be the unknown factor.

I wouldn't time out a friend in Tournament or Club game, but then Clan Challenges are a whole different thing, as you have other people depending on you.

I think a week is good. A lot of friendly clans that just want to play chess in a team out there. Including mine, don't want to be losing and winning a bunch of games via timeout that weren't going to be taken.

Why would people not take a time-out??? What do they believe they will gain by that, unless they are just holding up the challenge so a new one will not get started. I can't think of another reason. Then that isn't even smart because all you have to do is press on the skull. everyone should check to see if their opponent has timed out. Everyone has to keep track of their own games, no matter how many they have going.

I am sure Russ never imagined people wouldn't take time-outs!!! Never time-out on me in a Clan Challenge, you will not have to be concerned about me not timing you out. 😉

Because they want to enjoy the game?

I know, you timed me out in a clan challenge before. Bastard 😆

Sir, watch you language, and I would do it again in a clan challenge game. I may even do it in a tournament or club game being it is YOU!!!! 😛 😉

I think there was a suggestion a while since to make thumbs optional,but it never transpired.

thumbs are optional. I think most people don't give thumbs regularly.

What I meant was I think there was a suggestion to "hide" the thumbs option I.E turn them off on your display.
I think they are a silly idea,like a lot of things in this technological world.

They are clickbait, so a part of the business model.

And I apologize for misunderstaning your post.

@venda,

Dave I believe it was done so people could give an opinion, thumbs down don't like , thumbs up meaning like. That way they wouldn't have to identify who they were.

I feel if one has something to say just say it. Most of us are grown ups in here. Some just thumb down because they don't like the person not what was said by that person. I have grown to get use to it over the years.

Still doesn't stop me from saying what is on my mind.

I would claim your skull and then eat your liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti...

Sir, if thumbs were optional many people wouldn't be able to open cans of beans.
