Well, imagine that. You know, one of my businesses has a large group insurance plan. Qualified employees enjoy med coverage. But wait....the employees in the building next door are picketing and doing graffiti , got the bullhorns, assaulting the police as they are arrested for criminal trespass into our building. WHY? They demand to be included in our insurance policy, and to have coverage for everything from Dental to Pregnancies.
We are beating them back, and at the same time, the ins company says if they pull it off, that our rates will double, and coverage will be reduced.
I am in a quandary. Man, ,I sure want to cover these strangers but something about it just does not make sense. Ask Marauder if he sees any sense in it. And ask him, along the same lines, if illegal aliens have rights to coverage under our Med insurance policyi
A lot of my questions call for a yes or no, but I guess we cannot expect that.
Here is a 'link' that our reps, after spending weeks of deliberations, have decided to 'Drive Them Back!!!"

Whys federal spending going up?
@wildgrass saidFirst thank you for a simple lucid question. I just had a harangue with Sunhouse, whom asked if Harvard has a right to government funds, and he wrote me about everything else. Geez.

No, I cannot answer your question, as I do not study these things, the days are too busy. I usually try to speak in common sense, which I think is a good way to approach these matters (like, is it common sense for illegal aliens to use our Medicare.)
It is a good question, I can only say that we have representatives who have worn themselves out deliberating to come up with this bill, most of which contains promises made by President Trump. I myself am very appreciative of their work. I can only support them, and hope they’re on the right track. All of the liberals on this forum continue to hammer away at any negative thing they can find,… Do you not find that strange, that they see not one thing in the Bill that they like ? Strange indeed.
Short answer I would think is ‘cost cutting’. I think Libs want us to print money so that we will all go into an abyss, and the marauders of the world can take over.
@AverageJoe1 saidNot a single lib voted for it, and the bill raises federal spending, adding $3 trillion to the debt number. That's all the information I need to know that Republicans want large government. My grandfather would puke.

@wildgrass saidAs I said, I have not studied this… A good exercise would be if you would, be a devils advocate and tell me what I would probably say in a positive mode if I were schooled in this process. My first thought is that there has to be given intake so if that is a big ‘take’, it had to lead to a ‘give in some fashion.

@AverageJoe1 saidI tried to simplify as much as possible and there's no need to study, so your continued confusion is all self inflicted and/or deliberate.

Republicans wrote and voted for a bill that increases the size and scope of government, and cuts health care for millions. Remarkable.
@wildgrass saidI think it did more than that. Good stuff, I mean. More take home for taxpayers, such as that. Reducing taxes causes growing economies. Here is ONE of the many detailed links. Hard to please everyone.

It is a fair pro-con assessment. We could have done nothing, enjoying Bidenomics, or we could have made it easier for people to not have to work, libs would love that one. Or, make an effort as it has done to kick start our economy. I hate it for your rich-hating libs to see the job-creating wealthy people** continue to grow, but I think it is a good underlying element of the Bill. I like that people to have to be self-reliant to take advantage of some of the provisions. I am just not an entitlement guy.
If a panel of jurors was asked which of you or me is more into entitlements, you of course would be the entitlement guy. That would not sit well with me. There is an old adage to eat what you kill. It goes a long way in building a healthy economy. My granny's adage has always been....Worky, worky.
** I asked Marauder if it would be OK for a rich guy to have 6 vacation homes and more cars than he needs, he would not answer. ?? What would you say to that?

@AverageJoe1 saidHere's some bad news for you, Mr. Wallace: Even if everything remains the same, your rates will double, and coverage will be reduced. They just want you to think it's not their fault.
