i am not one of those 5-7 percent,

So did I until I researched it.
<edit>... oh that I were so important and personally lucky! I just want quits with bull shit. Death is one answer out of many.
Just because I want to pick a fight... with somebody without a chance of winning...

does it include doctors and nurses who accidentally kill?
does it include car drivers involved in lethal accidents?
or is it murder?
please lead me to a site showing the breakdown

Is that a stat?
Maybe.
You can also get a hint at ANY POLL TAKEN. THERE IS ALWAYS A 5 OT 7 PERCENT WHO REFUSE TO ANSWER.
Because? Well... we will never know. Will we?

http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/prisons.htm
and that is in the u.s. where prison rates are very high.

Over 8 million people are held in penal institutions throughout the world, either as pre-trial
detainees (remand prisoners) or having been convicted and sentenced. More than half of
these are in the United States (1.7m), China (1.4m) or Russia (1m).
Russia has the highest prison population rate in the world, some 685 per 100,000 of the
national population, followed by the USA (645), the Cayman Islands (575), Belarus (505),
Kazakhstan (495), Belize (490), the Bahamas (485) and Singapore (465).
H o w e v e r, 65% of countries have rates of 150 per 100,000 or below. (The United Kingdom’s
rate of 125 per 100,000 of the national population places it at about the mid-point in the Wo r l d
List. Among European Union countries its rate is the second highest, after Portugal’s 145.)
Prison population rates vary considerably between different regions of the world, and
between different parts of the same continent. For example:
• in Africa the median rate for western and central African countries is 60 whereas for
southern African countries it is 250;
• in the Americas the median rate for south American countries is 110 whereas for
Caribbean countries it is 330;
• in Asia the median rate for south central Asian countries (mainly the Indian subcontinent)
is 45 whereas for (ex-Soviet) central Asian countries it is about 400;
• in Europe the median rate for southern European countries is 50 whereas for central
and eastern European countries it is 200;
• in Oceania (including Australia and New Zealand) the median rate is 130.
Mr. S.V.W. perhaps you read somewhere that 5-7 percent of prisoners are in jail for murder type offences and misinterpreted this.

Do you think we are catching all the murderers?
Pretty good if we could.
I doubt it. I would venture no more than a fourth are caught.
But what do I know?
I don't really even care...
As pointed out... ONE IN A THOUSAND CAN WREAK HAVOC AMONGST SHEEP.
Originally posted by StarValleyWyIf 5-7 percent of the population was murderes, then a minimum of 5-7 percent of the population would meet an untimely end to their lives as a murder victim.

Thanksfully none I've known has been murdered, I realy hope that goes for the rest of you. Where I live I belive the ratio of murders to total deaths to be much less than a half percent.
So the 5-7% stat is simply not trust worthy in my world.
As to the original question: I hope that nobody would like to kill SVW, but I think that SVW should get back on medication.
