Whenever Trump starts to lose control of the narrative, as he did when Congress compelled him to release the Epstein files--which btw, have not been released, well past the deadline, have you noticed that the issue is off the front page news?--he creates a diversionary escalationary crisis which he thinks he can control. This will eventually all blow up in his face. Someday, he will run up against a brickwall of resistance which he cannot escalate himself out of. I predict that it will be the Nov. mid-term election cycle. If it goes badly against the GOP and he tries to set the result aside by effectively declaring martial law, there will be civil war in the streets of America.

Why so many Republicans still support him? A) Hope dies last. Hope that he's still going to deliver on his promises. B) It hurts to acknowledge that one has been made a fool of by a snake oil peddler; it hurts to acknowledge that one was duped by a conman. C) Because they think force solves problems.
