Jessica Lunsford's body was found 150 yards from her house today after police arrested convicted child molester John Couey in Augusta Georgia and he confessed to the crime. I'm sure I'll get the bleeding heart Liberals on this site howling when I say that the SOB should have been executed for the first molestation charge. At the very least he should have never been released from prison and seen the light of day. This scumbag had been arrested 24 times on charges ranging from Burglary to Child molestation. Some Liberal judge probably felt that he could be re-habilitated and released him from prison. I hope that Judge can never sleep well again with his stupid decision. Well he did the crime in Florida and I am quite sure his life of crime will come to an end with a death sentence that I'm quite sure the good people of Florida will give him. I just hope that some whiny "puke" Liberal lawyer doesn't strech it out for years keeping this bastard alive longer than necessary. I say let the father of the little girl have 30 minutes in the jail cell with a baseball bat alone with this scumbag.😠

The man was a scumbag, for sure. But execution after the first molestation charge?? Is this a punishment that you suggest all first-time felons receive or just sex offenders?

From what I hear, sex offenders are the lowest of the low in general population and are usually relegated to bitch duty. Isn't that a fair supplemental punishment in the biblical sense (i.e. an eye for an eye) ?

However, I agree that repeat offenders should not be reintegrated back into society. The risk is too high.

While I disagree with the execution sentence, I would have no problem with the offender being sentenced to life in prison. From what I understand sex crimes are notoriously difficult to prove in a lot of cases. Also most of these folks seem very difficult if not impossible to "cure". Whatever that means? So an execution for a sex crime? No. But having the offender spend the rest of his life as a personal gangbang f--- toy in prison? Eh, not my problem.

All murder is wrong, it is wrong for state to murder people. Life in prison for sex offenders seems fair. Although each case should be judged on its merits.

Killed a child, execute him. Easy choice to make.

The problem is that they will segregate him from the general population thus protecting the "shorteye" SOB. I still think they should let the father have him for 30 minutes.

I'll only need ten minutes with a ball bat, a tub of water and a little electricity.

This ain't his first offense involving a child...he is a scumbag who should be relegated to the general prison population of the toughest system in the US...let him get his due punishment from the other prisoners....

Hello???? Difficult to prove? The douschebag admitted to the crime, even telling authorities where the body was...but I do agree with the rest of your statement.....

When I heard this story, I just kept thinking about the everlasting nightmare of the parents will have for the rest of their lives. I know I should keep this to the appropriate forum I so lobbied for but I just ask this: How is this the will of God that this little girl suffer such a fate? I'm not asking for an answer because I doubt anyone could give me one.

Anyway, murder of this parasite (asssuming that he did do it and he did admit to it) is too kind. If it were my daughter, I would devote my life to hurting him and he would pray for death after I was done with him.

I wasn't speaking specifically about this case in that regard. I meant sex crimes in general. Though after reading my post again I can see where it sounds like I meant "offender" to be the guy mentioned in the original post. My bad.

God's reality is not based on how we "feel" about him, Joe.

And I shan't answer it, because it's something that disturbs me as much as you.

Personally, I think life in prison is the cruel and unusual punishment. If I had the choice between life in prison or execution, I would opt to be executed. Then again, in this day and age, they are almost synonymous.
