This is what I do not understand about the 9/11 conspiracy -
1) The conspiracy says the the planes alone could not bring down the building but wasn't it proven that they could because the fire weakened the structural integrity of the building?
2) Our government knew about it before it happened. Then why did they let it happen? What have they gained from letting 9/11 happen? The Patriot Act? Invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan? If the government is so smart to let 9/11 happen how come they are so dumb at everything else?
3) There was a bomb in each tower. I didn't see any evidence of this in the 9/11 documentary the two French guys made - heck, they were actually in the building and filming and the only explosions they heard were actually people's bodies hitting the ground and cars.
Now I'll be honest, I don't know much about the 9/11 conspiracy so I welcome any feedback here. Thanks.

Why exactly do you call this worth watching? Dull as dirt to me.

Yaaaahhh...
I saw it live when it happened. Your point is?
As she said,..."I tell you what .. a person who believes that this wasn't set up by our government is an idiot.."
I was doing a university bridging course that year and funnily enough 2 days before they came down, our physics lecturer was telling us about controlled demolitions and how with the right split second timing they could bring down a building with the aid of gravity pretty much within the confines of the foundations perimeter.
Whether that conversation still fresh in my mind then influenced and filtered what I saw I cant say, but sitting there through the night glued to the box with live feeds coming in from all the US networks including CNN , I am sure like anyone else who sat there stunned throughout the whole ordeal, the heightened sense of reality dilated the time of the experience such that 5 minutes was much like a half an hour.
By the time the buildings collapsed you were so tuned into the whole event that you became hyper aware of all the little details to the event. From my view point I can only say that I observed a controlled demolition of the two towers. Having watched demolitions of high rises before and after, all I can say that there were lots of little tell tale signs at the moment of truth. Signs that are etched in my memory that no amount of spin will convince me that anything but a controlled demolition occured. Little puffs of smoke. Synchronized explosions that were rapidly dwarfed by the buildings themselves collapsing. The way in which the collapse started. On the day the impression was that the crumble started way down near the base of the towers.
All conspiracy aside, who knows if at some high up enough level of strategic planning, a response kicked into gear that saw the only pragmatic response against the attack was to demolish the buildings.
Why? Because if the buildings stood, scarred and burning the damage to the American psyche would be incalculable. Sending in a team to finish off the terrorists work achieved many things, the most important that the immediate trauma ended that day. There was an immediate closure on America being invaded on that day.
If the buildings had been left to burn they would have smoked for days. The concern of the people as well as all the authorities would have been wrapped up in those still trapped or hanging on to life. Because America had been put on a war footing, at the end of the day, the only decision to be made so that the country could snap back instantaneously, to regroup and face their enemy, would be to excise the wound of the burning towers. Much like a surgeon would cut off your limbs to save your life, I would say someone was forced to make the decision to sacrifice whoever was left in the building for the greater good.
Ground Zero may very well be a testament to ordinary citizens martyred by friendly fire. In the final analysis the terrorists were given a day to crow their victory. Thats all they would ever be given.

1) If you want to make it look like a building was brought down from impact with an airliner, bring it down with controlled demolition, and make it look like a controlled demolition. Don't make it fall in a manner that wouldn't look deliberate. 🙄
2) You can plant explosives in a busy office building and nobody will say a thing. Maybe this is how it went:
Hey Barb! How ya doin today?
Good. What brings you into my office this morning Bob?
Gotta do some umm.. maintenance. Can I get behind your desk for a few minutes?
Sure, Bob. No problem.
Thanks Barb.
Whatcha doin with that drill Bob?
I'm installing umm.. braces into the wall.
Those are funny lookin braces Bob?
Yeah. I thought that too. We'll see how it goes.
Wow, Bob. That was fast.
Yeah. I gotta do a couple thousand of these in both Towers by the 10th, so I gotta hustle.
Good luck Bob.
Thank you. I'm gonna need it. And one more thing Barb.
What's that Bob?
Watch out for all the wires running through the building.
Will do Bob. Anything else Bob?
Yes there is one more thing. Don't mention this if anything out of the ordinary happens okay? Not to the press, or the police, not your family or friends or anybody.
It'll be our little secret Bob.
Funnily enough the two things that seem really odd about 9-11 don't really get much mentioning.
The first being that the suicide pilots were taught how to fly "Tiny" aircraft and after a couple of weeks training could manage to fly jumbo jets into exact locations...
The second being the passport incident. I don't know if anyone really remembers the passports being found...
Whole bloody buildings destroyed, massive explosions and there, in the middle of everything, are a couple of terrorist passports. It didn't get mentioned after the first couple of days though.
Originally posted by shavixmirThe dynamics of flying a small aircraft is very simular to flying a large one. The main difference being how responsive the aircraft is. Modern small aircraft also have simular GPS navigation systems to large ones, so them finding their targets wouldn't have been too much of a problem either.

As for all the other differences in instrumentation, this would have included operating seat belt signs, warning lights, auxilary power units, flight path data, ILS, TCAS/ACAS, secondary instrumentation (for backup) etc. All of which wouldn't have been a concern for the terrorists.
EDIT: Of course, they would also have violated a lot of protocols (excluding flying the planes into the buildings themselves) that professional pilots would have been trained up in, but they wouldn't care about that.
Also, most of the work had been done for them. They didn't have to get the plane off the ground and they didn't have to land it. The hardest part would have been to hijack the plane. From then on it would have been controlling the plane towards their target using the control column, rudders and throttle, just like a small aircraft.

So why didn't the Bushwhacker go after Bin Laden directly instead of futzing around Iraq? Whoppiedoo, we got rid of the guy holding Iran in check. So now we have an Iranian situation. Great move. And Bin Laden gets to celebrate his 50th birthday. What's wrong with this picture?
